I felt pretty lucky when Cortney reached out to me to be their engagement and wedding photographer. We went back and forth and ended up wanting to do an Aska Farms engagement session in the gorgeous North Georgia mountains.
Cortney and I go back, I’m talking way back, like middle school back. We were lunch buddies. So, let me tell you the shock I was when my friend from middle school hit me up to shoot her wedding. I was in love when I saw that email in my inbox.
Joseph and Cortney met by being penpals (isn’t that the cutest!). He was deployed in Afghanistan at the time. Once they met, that was it for them. I loved talking to them getting to learn their story.
After we decided on our location, I got excited on having an Aska Farm Engagement Session because we’d finally be on private property! I knew I had to bring some champagne and finally get some fizzy pictures. We had a blast playing around with the champagne. I even got accidentally showered during some of it (luckily, Cortney had some purell wipes in her car so we weren’t sticky from the champagne).
Other than that, we wandered around the property having a great time. Laughing, smiling, and avoiding the sun.
Joseph and Cortney are getting married at The Cotton Gin in October and I can’t wait to spend the day with them. Make sure to come back in October to see their beautiful wedding!
