Drew and Joanna’s Winter Wedding at the Barn at the Big Oak was one I’ve been waiting for since I took their engagement pictures. We had such a genuine connection and a wonderful time taking pictures, so I knew their wedding pictures would be something I was excited for.
I started the day by taking detail shots, and I have to say, they’re some of my favorite detail shots. Joanna’s dress was absolutely stunning in sun. I especially love the vow books. Vow books are becoming a sentimental item that I love to capture on the wedding day.
Drew and Joanna have the relationship that you can tell is authentic. I think that’s why their relationship was so much fun to capture. Just watching their ceremony, you can tell that they truly have found “the one”. I absolutely loved being there with them. Their ceremony was filled with laughter, smiles, and tears. It was everything you’d want a wedding ceremony to be.
We got to take sunset pictures for their couple pictures and it was an absolute joy. Joanna mentioned she wanted to take pictures out on the road in front of the venue. I have to say, it was a wonderful suggestion, and one that I think we both loved.
Finally, we ended the night with sparklers and dancing. I even had a little kid pulling me out to the dance floor by the end of the night.
