COVID came in and has caused chaos with my May brides! Did that stop Caleb and Ryann from having a private, intimate, and BEAUTIFUL wedding day in Atlanta, Georgia? Nope, it did not.
I originally shot Caleb and Ryann engagement pictures back last summer. We planned for me to shoot their gorgeous wedding in late may of this year. However, COVID really came in and had other plans FOR A LOT OF MY COUPLES. Ryann reached out to me and asked if I could possible move the date UP a month and into late April! I’m like, of course! Let’s shoot a wedding!
Caleb and Ryann ended up having this beautiful moment in her parents backyard. Our day was simple and wonderful. I got to hang out with Ryann and her family while they all got ready. It truly was a laid back environment that wedding days rarely have. I even got to play with the special guests of the day, the dogs! Because I mean, who doesn’t love some dogs at a wedding?
The wedding, overall, was such a private and intimate time that was special for the bride and the groom. I even teared up a little.
It’s in that moment I realized, it truly doesn’t matter about all the glitz and the glam… though they do photograph beautifully. At the end of the day, the most important part about your day is your love and your relationship. Caleb and Ryann’s day was still special because they were surrounded by (a reduced amount of) family and friends who loved them (all while staying 6 feet apart).
Are you in the same situation as Caleb and Ryann and being affected by COVID? Check out this page about planning a backyard wedding and still having the day of your dreams!
