Wow, we really lucked out with the beautiful day we got for Chris and Bridgette’s North Georgia wedding at Bull Mountain Lodge! We haven’t had too many clear days here in Georgia lately. We had clear skies, clear skies that were cold, but clear nonetheless.
Chris and Bridgette’s day was held at the gorgeous North Georgia wedding venue Bull Mountain Lodge venue up in Dahlonega, Georgia. Is it just me or is Dahlonega filled with some beautiful venues?
We started our day up with the guys and relaxed with them in the beginning of the day. They were casually chilling with these GREAT beer mugs. Kyle was slightly jealous and wanted one, very much. Next, I went down and visited the girls who were already getting ready and just laughing away.
Chris and Bridgette decided on a first look. I’m such a huge fan of first looks because it allows such a sweet moment between the couple. Chris and Bridgette’s first look was on a little gazebo on the property. It provided such a beautiful location for the first look.
The ceremony which may have been the quickest ceremony I’ve EVER been too. Legitimately, five minutes. Like I’m not kidding. But you know what? That’s what they wanted. I’m a huge advocate for doing what YOU want on YOUR wedding day. After this shortest ceremony.. possible in history, we went to the back location for family and couple portraits.
We got lucky with some gorgeous sun in the pictures of Chris and Bridgette. Like I mentioned earlier, it was already cold and now the sun was starting to set. Brigette was a trooper. I asked for her to remove her scarf so we could photograph the back of the dress… because it’s stunning. Pro Tip, btw, always place your freezing brides in the sun so they don’t completely freeze.
And, the rest of the night continued as a wedding should… with a HUGE party! But, this huge party may have been slightly better than the rest. You see, they had a taco bar for their dinner. I cannot recommend taco bars ENOUGH. Like, tacos plus queso. Hello, I’m there.
During the reception, Chris and Bridgette did the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen at a wedding (like, I’m jealous I didn’t hear or do this at my wedding). They played the song Freeze Frame. The bride and groom sit down and everyone in the wedding takes turn coming up behind the couple to take whatever pictures they like while this song is playing.
It was the most fun I’ve ever had shooting a wedding… EVER. I’ve included some of the pictures in the post because it’s honestly amazing and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE should do this! Not only do you get pretty much everyone who was at the wedding, but you get some AMAZINGLY FUNNY pictures from it! I’m not gonna lie, I even jumped in.
Finally, we wished Chris and Bridgette the best ending of their night with some classic sparklers!
It was an amazing wedding. I’m blessed that Chris and Bridgette decided to go with me as their engagement and wedding photographer. Thank you again, Chris and Bridgette!
